Complete pages 30-31 in your workbook or download and print those pages.

Enrichment Activities:

Base-Ten Blocks & Mats. These are a great alternative to base ten blocks if you don’t have a set. You’ll need two copies of the first page so your child will have enough blocks. You’ll just need one copy of the mat, with the colored place value blocks. These are particularly helpful for solving multi-digit addition and subtraction problems with regrouping.

Let’s Go SUM Fishing. Use this 2-digit addition game with regrouping to practice your new skills! You’ll need counters, one color per player, to cover the fish. Cut out the cards and stack them upside-down in front of the player(s). For a solo player, flip a card, figure out the answer to the addition problem using the base-ten blocks and mat, then cover the fish with that number on the game board.

Kids can play solo, against a timer, or you can make it a 2-player game by having the players compete to solve the addition problem and cover the fish with the correct sum. The player with the most counters on the board at the end of the game wins.
